Another great morning

Visiting the Medwells in Seattle

Noah took his first road trip to Seattle to visit his great grandmother Shirley and the rest of the Medwell clan.

Julie's Aunt Nancy and Great Grandmother Shirley a.k.a Nauny

Noah with Aunt Nancy.

Noah was also able to meet his cousin Elena before she left for Europe and his Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol.

We hope to come back soon!

Look Who's a Happy Camper

Noah had his first camping trip last weekend.  We went to a lake up on Mt Hood to escape the heat.  In this picture you can see his faux hawk blowing in the gentle mountain breeze.  Noah likes to maintain his urban hairstyle even in the wilderness.

One of the rare moments I got to sit down on the trip. There was a a lot of wilderness bouncing.

Noah was obsessed with looking at trees the entire time. He's geeking out on the foliage in this picture and was so enthralled that he rolled over for the first time.

When the crying begins I run for the water.

Below is a photo of Noah with all of his gear in the tent. He managed to sleep through the celebratory shotgun blasts on the other side of the lake. The campground host told us that she had  a bigger gun at her site and was going to retaliate by shooting it off beside the armed campers' tent the next morning.  It's good to get Noah outside of Portland so he wakes up with the fresh scent of a warm gun instead of vegan pastries.  Man up son, no soy lattes for you!

This slumber only lasted about 40 minutes before Julie had to use her crazy creek and rock him to sleep. It was enough time to take down a tall boy and eat some s'mores.

Good Morning!

Hammer Pants

During the early 90s I didn't have the street cred to rock baggy pants, but I think a shirtless Noah does a good job in this pic. He is about to have his first swim session.

Maybe he'll be known as the Jewish Eminem if he continues this fashion trend.

WORD!

Everyone Drinks!

In training for my stint as a stay at home dad in August.

Brooke and Josh Say Hi!

Our friends Brook and Josh visited from Alaska last weekend and we lunched with Noah. Here is a great picture.

Noah had the boob salad for lunch.

Uncle Adrian, Aunt Andrea, and Honey Bee Genocide

Noah had his first encounter with the forces of nature known as Uncle Adrian and Aunt Andrea this weekend. I assume on the next visit Aunt Andrea will force Noah to bare knuckle brawl with some of her stuffed animals.  This visit was peaceful -- except for the honey bee incident.

Uncle Adrian is the baby whisperer, he is all about peace. I have seen him reign in my sister during bouts of unrestrained fury so I'm sure Noah was no problem. Obama should put him on the Israel/Palestine negotiation team.

Andrea is used to rocking her stuffed animals to sleep, but did well with Noah.

From this picture you would never think that Andrea is responsible for the murder of countless innocent honey bees. However, while weeding at our community garden a fellow gardener accused her of bee genocide because of a bucket of water next to our plot.  Apparently on a hot day the bees plunge themselves into the water for relief  from the heat and drown themselves.   In a display of passionate protest the women tipped the bucket upside down, liberated the bees, and lectured us on her own awesomeness.

In my opinion if the bees are that stupid they should just die. Ever heard of natural selection? All of the self righteous crazies in Oregon seem to target my sister. Last time she was at the Coast a women accused her of trying to harm a baby seal.

After a solid day of honey bee slaughter its always nice to enjoy some great pizza, especially at Apizza Scholls.

Julie was serious about being able to eat her Pizza and pretty much force fed Noah the pacifier until he passed out.

Noah enjoyed Uncle Adrian and Aunt Andrea's visit so much he fist bumped himself in their honor.  Thank you so much for all of your help!

Cousins!

Julie's sister Allie, her husband Leon, and their children Sammy and Micah visited us this week. We got a peek into what life is like with two small children.

Here is the first cousin picture, taken at Hopworks Brewery which thankfully has two children's play areas and strong beer!  Our crew is fierce.  Micah is in yellow (don't get in his way he will destroy you), Sammy is in red ( will grill you on your knowledge of Thomas the Train), and Noah is the bad ass in the car seat (mess with him and he will vomit on you).

Sammy was officially MVP of the weekend. He was great with Noah at all times.

When Noah became upset in the car Sammy patriotically broke into a rendition of America the Beautiful.  USA! USA!

Sammy was very curious about breast feeding and insists that Noah has been drinking from Julie not eating.

Allison is still here helping us with Noah, and we just had a great dinner out by ourselves.  We had too much fun to take any pictures. Thank you Allie you have been a great help!

Noah Fares Well at the Organic Beer Festival

During Alexa's visit last weekend we braved the 95 degree heat and went to the organic beer fest.  Here are some pictures.

Here is Noah enjoying a fine cream ale brewed by Julie. The most organic beverage in the house.

Someone tackle this man, he looks sketchy and has a baby on him.

Our awesome neighbor Garrett imitating Noah's poop face.

Believe me Noah, I saw how much she drank, you don't want anything to do with that milk.

Alexa Comes to Visit

Our dear friend Alexa came to visit us this weekend.  We think she escaped Portland without being spit up on but we're really not sure.

Thank you for all of your help and for encouraging us to go out on the town.  Noah was so calm that we took all of this sushi down no problem.
